Since his death, Parsons has been recognized as an extremely influential artist, credited with helping to found both country rock and alt-country.[2] His posthumous honors include the Americana Music Association "President's Award" for 2003, and a ranking at #87 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time."[

Here it is 2010 and Gram Parsons is not in the Rock and Roll or Country Music Halls of Fame. What a bold face rip-off! His induction into both halls is a must. Let's hear from all his fans out there. When one considers what passes for music these days it is incomprehensible that Gram is always ignored by voters. His life and career were short but he did enough to be a worthy member of both halls.

Those guys down in Waycross always do a first class job. Just wanted to mention that, while we don't always coincide, like last year, the Gram Parsons Petition Project & Tribute Night was held on the final day of Waycross's, that being the day we always have it, the day of Gram's death. We had 12 bands from Seattle to Ireland in one night of great music, and were Critic's Pick by The Nashville Scene and The Tennessean over all the bands of the coinciding (once again, ours is on the day of GP's death) AMA national conference. Pls ck out my No Depression site listed here for more. And PLEASE sign the petition at www.gramparsonspetition.com! Thanks, Will James, G3P & Tribute Night

Hey Andy,
Terrific article! So glad you were down and enjoyed the Guitar Pull! I certainly would have liked to have met you; but as it was, I had my hands full most of the time. Thanks for the publicity! We'll do it again next year!
